Traditional Thai Massage
Traditional Thai Massage dates back to the time of Buddha , over 2,500 years ago. Legend has it that as the Traditional thai massage and the Traditional Thai Medicine were developed by the Buddhist community; the monks gathered around Buddha, they obtained knowledge of this form of massage, transmitted orally from teachers to students, from father to son until the mid-twentieth century.
“When the body gets working appropriately, the forcé of gravity can flow through, then spontaneously, the body heals itself” Ida Rolf
Thai traditional medicine considers that energy circulates in the body through “Sen-Lines” (similar to Meridians in Chinese medicine).
The purpose of the Traditional Thai Massage is to restore the free flow of energy and release blockages that cause pain by applying prolonged pressure on the Sen Lines with different parts of the body, and by stretching the muscles. The massage treatment includes: Muscle compression, joint mobilization, acupressure and yoga based stretches.
No oil or lotion is used. The client wears comfortable clothing. The massage is given on a matress on the floor.
Traditional Thai massage is both relaxing and energizing. Spending days hunched over a computer, behind a driving wheel or simply sitting with a bad posture puts a lot of pressure in the neck and shoulders, resulting in headaches, stiff shoulders and a lack of flexibility in the neck.
By working from your lower back up to the top of your head, this therapy will help you to soothe away tensions in your upper body, break down knots and improve your flexibility. This massage relieves headaches by stimulating the nerves on your scalp and the blood circulation within your head. You will feel relaxed and re-energized.

Traditional Thai massage & Tok Sen Therapy
60 minutes Thai massage as described above combined by 30 Minutes Tok Sen Therapy on back, shoulders & neck.
Tok Sen is an ancient rhythmic healing art practiced in Northern Thailand. “Tok” is used to describe the sound from made by a wooden hammer on the skin while “Sen” refers to the energy lines of the body.
Therefore, this form of massage consists in tapping the energy lines of the body with a wooden mallet and a peg, made from a tamarind tree, sending resonating healing vibrations throughout the body. It works like ultrasounds (used in physiotherapy) for the muscles and fascias and goes deep into them. While there may be slight discomfort at certain times, it is not painful and it helps to relax the muscles on a deeper level.
Thai Herbal Balm may also be used on the skin to help heat the muscles.
The Tok Sen Therapy releases physical aches and pains. It removes energy blockages, releases muscle tension and improves blood circulation that provides relaxation.
